PORT ARTHUR, Texas — Marcus Glen Kemper is set for trial on Feb. 9, 2026, on charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and deadly conduct stemming from a 2023 shooting that injured then-teen Karmen Nixon, who was shot eight times at a New Year’s Eve party, according to case notes.
Kemper, who was arrested in connection with the Dec. 29, 2023 incident alongside a 15-year-old, is scheduled to appear before Judge John Stevens. The trial is expected to go forward under Stevens, and Kemper is represented by attorney Audwin Samuel.
