Village Elementary School’s Veterans Day celebration was described as a standout event in the community, drawing one of the largest crowds in its history and recognizing veterans, active-duty military, and their families. “As for the event, it was amazing. I have been fortunate to do several of these between Village and CMS, and I can’t think of one that was more well-attended,” said guest speaker and Coronado High School NJROTC Founder Captain Lee Pontes. “I figured I’d be speaking to maybe 50 vets, but when I saw the large crowd, I have to admit, that spiked my ‘fun meter’ a little… It was a superb event.”

This year’s event was co-chaired by Emily Fulwider, Village Elementary School parent and PTO volunteer, and Kelsey Petrosky, a stay-at-home mom with two children attending Village. Bo
