The family of Sonia Parris say their lives and the lives of her two young children have been upended in the wake of the 30-year old’s arrest and detainment last week.

Parris was arrested last Monday afternoon by St. Clair County sheriffs for failure to appear on an expired license ticket, according to county jail records.

St. Clair Sheriff’s Public Information Officer Juana Corbin confirmed Parris’ arrest in a phone call with AL.com Friday but said the office could not comment on anything relating to her detainment as it was “in ICE’s hands.”

Jessica Blanchard, who is dating Parris’ ex-husband Dalton, said she was picked up from the jail by Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents Wednesday morning.
