The beloved character is played by Ariana Grande-Butera in Wicked and Wicked: For Good . The second installment had a record-breaking box office debut, grossing $150 million domestically and $226 million worldwide.
Now, Harper Collins has announced that a novel titled Galinda: A Charmed Childhood by Gregory Maguire is being released on September 29, 2026. As the title indicates, the book will explore Galinda's childhood before she attended Shiz University, had her life forever changed after meeting Elphaba, and changed her name to Glinda.
