ST. GEORGE, S.C. (WCSC) — A man was arrested and taken into custody after Dorchester County deputies received a shots-fired call Sunday night in St. George.
Devonte Haynes, 30, of Saint Matthews, is facing multiple charges, including possession of a stolen handgun, malicious injury to property and failure to stop for blue lights, according to sheriff’s spokesman Steven Wright.
Deputies got the report around 8 p.m. Sunday in the 100 block of Alonzo Road. A second call was then received by dispatch indicating that shots had been heard in the area of the original incident.
They attempted to pull over a car that matched the description they were given, but the driver drove off, starting a pursuit.
After the vehicle came to a stop, deputies did a felony traffic stop, ordering Haynes to exit
