PHOENIX (AZFamily) —Ahead of what’s expected to be a busy holiday season, prosecutors in the Valley are warning would-be thieves who aim to take advantage of the hustle and bustle to orchestrate large-scale retail theft.
On Monday, the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office announced a campaign to raise awareness about the consequences of buying potentially stolen products for the third year in a row.
Prosecutors said there were 303 organized retail crime convictions in the county in 2024. With 272 convictions already recorded through the end of October, metro Phoenix is expected to surpass last year’s record.
