AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - Two people have been arrested in a North Carolina murder investigation that began with the disappearance of a 33-year-old man.

The Davidson County Sheriff’s Office said Jonathan Charles Shores was reported missing by family members on Nov. 11. Family members provided investigators with an address in Davidson County believed to be connected to Shores’ last known whereabouts.

Investigators said Shores was allegedly shot in Lexington, N.C. The alleged suspect, Jose Guadalupe Lopez, crossed state lines, authorities said.
