Thurmont's Board of Commissioners on Thursday visited one of the town's water treatment facilities to discuss its expansion for new filtration equipment to mitigate PFAS in the drinking water.
The board unanimously recommended that the new addition — a 22-by-26-foot building — be built on the rear side of the facility, which is on Apples Church Road.
