Arch Manning’s first year as QB1 has been a full-blown rollercoaster. And Saturday night was one of those gut-dropping dips. Last week, in a 35–10 beatdown by No. 5 Georgia, the 21-year-old gunslinger put up 251 yards on 27-of-43 passing with one touchdown. And a pick he’d definitely like wiped from the tape. And yes, it was a brutal one.

Still, the Horns weren’t out of the fight. Manning’s TD strike to Ryan Wingo late in the third cut it to 14–10 and briefly sparked hope on the Texas sideline. But then Georgia hit the gas, rattling off 21 unanswered in the fourth and slamming the door shut on any comeback dreams.
