Inside Valley River Center is a special red vending machine. Swiping a credit card won't get you a soda or bag of chips. Instead patrons of this vending machine will be given a menu of items that charities in Lane, Benton, Linn and Douglas counties need to serve their clients.

"It's this really clever vending machine that lets you choose from among 30 items that will bless the lives of community members," said Rachel Anderson, communications director for the Eugene stake of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
