Sam Mayer ended the 2025 NASCAR Xfinity Series season on the sidelines. Following a wreck with Jeb Burton at Martinsville Speedway, Mayer was suspended for the season finale at Phoenix Raceway. The Haas Factory Team driver was replaced by Ryan Sieg, a driver for RSS Racing.
Mayer completed the year with one win, 13 top-5 finishes, 18 top-10 finishes, 238 laps led, an 11.5 average finishing position, and a 10th-place finish in the point standings. Mayer's suspension at the end of the season was a major black eye on what was a very consistent campaign.
The driver of the No. 41 car seems poised for a strong 2026 NASCAR season, as Haas Factory Team will be in its second year. Mayer could be a championship favorite in a new playoff format, so all eyes will be on the No. 41 team when the 2026 NASCAR season starts at Daytona International Speedway.
