Cal Poly’s athletic department announced it has parted ways with head football coach Paul Wulff.

The decision comes just days after the Mustangs’ 43-34 win over Eastern Washington to conclude the 2025 season.

Cal Poly finished its eighth straight losing season with a 4-8 overall record. It was 2-6 in Big Sky Conference games.

I want to thank Coach Wulff for his years of service to Cal Poly both as an assistant and a head football coach,” Cal Poly Director of Athletics Carter Henderson said in a statement. “He represented the Mustangs well and was extremely dedicated to this program. I wish him the absolute best moving forward.”

Wulff was promoted from offensive line coach and associate head coach duties following Beau Baldwin’s departure to Arizona State. He finished with a 10-24 recor
