The Paris Port Dover Pipe Band walked off the TD Coliseum stage after performing Mull of Kintyre to perform at the renovated forme r Copps Coliseum on opening night.
“As I was walking off the stage I could see the (Scottish guitar handler) wipe his eyes of tears before he could bring the guitar up to Paul,” said Pipe Major Gord Black.
He wasn’t alone.
“It was a very emotional moment,” said Black. “A lot of us were fighting tears.”
