Taylor Sheridan’s manifest destiny is spreading to network-TV cop shows. Y: Marshals , the first of Paramount’s three planned Yellowstone spinoff series, stars Luke Grimes, reprising his role as the youngest Dutton son, Kayce Dutton. He’s joining the U.S. Marshals to bring “range justice to Montana,” after ending Yellowstone by selling the Dutton Ranch for dirt cheap. “I fought every day to get out from under the weight of the Yellowstone,” Kayce says in the November 24 trailer. “I’ve lost my teammates, my parents, even my brothers. I know sometimes good men have to do bad things. But I’m trying to find a new beginning.”

Brecken Merrill, who plays Kacye’s son Tate, is returning for the series, along with Gil Birmingham as Chief Thomas Rainwater from Broken Rock Indian Reservation
