It’s happening next year for the Canadian Football League franchise.
The Stampeders will travel to the Okanagan hub in 2026 to face the BC Lions in a CFL regular-season game as part of Touchdown Kelowna — a summer festival centred a celebration of Canadian football.
The contest is slated for June 27 and will be one of two Lions’ games played at Kelowna’s Apple Bowl stadium — home of the Canadian Junior Football League’s Okanagan Sun — while the West Coast CFL club is temporarily displaced from its BC Place home due to World Cup of Soccer games in Vancouver.
