Police, fire and ambulance crews responded to a two-car crash Monday about 5:15 p.m. at U.S. 1 and U.S. 202 in the Concordville area, working their vehicles through what was already an extensive traffic backup minutes after the wreck.

Crews on location reported that tow trucks were needed to get the wrecked vehicles out of the way, and that EMS units were evaluating the occupants of the vehicles, according to Delaware County fire radio traffic.

It was unclear if anyone was transported.

The intersection was reopened by 6 p.m. State troopers are investigating, but it was too early for any information from the Media station.
