COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) - A buck in the Broadmoor area over the weekend found himself in need of help when he got tangled in a hammock.

According to Colorado Parks and Wildlife (CPW), the rescue happened on Sunday. After clearing the netting from the buck’s antlers, wildlife officers said they were able to send the buck on his way.

CPW’s Southeast Region shared the situation alongside a reminder to be mindful of local wildlife during yard clean-up and when decorating for the holidays.

“We see it every year, and it always gets worse this time of year,” CPW Assistant Area Wildlife Manager Steve McClung of Durango said in a news release from CPW earlier this fall. “Right now is a great opportunity to clean up your yard of items a curious animal might stick its nose in or get wrapped
