Gary Neville singled out Luke Shaw for criticism during Manchester United ’s defeat to Everton.
Shaw started alongside Matthijs de Ligt and Leny Yoro in central defence for Man United on Monday night, but could not prevent a surprise 1-0 loss for the hosts at Old Trafford .
The Red Devils were up against the ten-men of Everton for more than an hour after Idrissa Gueye was sent-off for striking team-mate Michael Keane in the face .
Despite the man advantage, there was no way past the Toffees’ resolute defence, and Neville was taken aback by Ruben Amorim ’s decision to stick with Shaw operating as a left-sided defender.
While on punditry duty for Sky Sports, Neville was extremely critical of Shaw for not breaking forward from his position quick enough in an attempt to get Unit
