LOUISVILLE, Ky. — The Mary T. Meagher Aquatic Center will temporarily close this summer as it undergoes significant renovations, Louisville Parks and Recreation announced.

The center will close Sunday, May 25 and is expected to reopen Tuesday, Sept. 2. Louisville Parks and Recreation said planned improvements include tile replacements of the pool deck, repairs to the weight room and a fresh coat of paint outside the building. Patrons will not be charged for their regular membership fees during the facility's closure.

The city said Parks and Recreation officials are working with other facilities to offer alternate sites for exercise and recreation throughout the closure. Improvements are expected to cost around $500,000 and are covered within the city's planned Fiscal Year 2025 budget.
