MISSING MARNER

Mitch Marner should not have been traded to Las Vegas. In addition to being the Maple Leafs’ leading point getter in 2024-25, he was a native Torontonian who enjoyed playing for the Leafs. He was also well known for his support of local charities. I believe undo pressure was put on him by the media and fans’ desire of winning the playoffs. He was criticized for not scoring in the playoffs — but not a very justifiable excuse based on his valuable contributions during the regular season enabling them to make the playoffs. I believe the loss of Marner is one of the reasons that the Leafs are doing so poorly this year.
