Seamus Coleman lasted fewer than 10 minutes on his return to the Everton starting line-up. The club captain made his first Premier League start of the season as the Blues travelled to Old Trafford to face Manchester United.

It was his first league start since the final game at Goodison Park against Southampton in May. Coleman lasted around 20 minutes in that game before being withdrawn.

His involvement was even shorter on Monday night as he was replaced by Jake O’Brien barely 10 minutes into the action.
