NEW ORLEANS —
Traveling for Thanksgiving? Find out what you can expect locally and across the region.
Rain and storms early in the week Advertisement
A big weather system is moving across the country. It’s pulling warm, wet Gulf air into our area.
Because of this, we will see:
Rain tonight and Tuesday
Some strong thunderstorms
Wet roads and slower travel
If you drive Monday night or Tuesday, give yourself extra time. Some storms may be strong, so be careful on the roads.
Cold front brings cooler, windy weather
After the storms move out Tuesday, a cold front will push in.
This front will bring:
Cooler temperatures
Windy weather
A big change from the warm air we have now
Thanksgiving Day and Friday will be cooler than normal, especially in the morning and evening.
