MADISON (WKOW) — Morgan Geyser, 23, is set to face an extradition hearing in Cook County, Illinois Tuesday.

Geyser was involved in the 2014 Slender Man stabbing case in Waukesha County that nearly killed one of her old classmates.

Geyser cut off her ankle monitor in Madison late Saturday evening before being found by the Posen Police Department in Illinois, nearly 200 miles south of Madison.

Madison-based criminal defense attorney Corey Mehlos, owner of Casper Mehlos Law Group, said the judge will first have to determine if Geyser is mentally stable to return to the Badger State.
