PUEBLO, Colo. (KKTV) - Law enforcement officers in Pueblo took eight people into custody last week during the execution of search warrants related to a shooting investigation.
According to the Pueblo Police Department (PPD), the investigation began when a man showed up to the hospital with a gunshot wound in late September. Police said that was related to a Shotspotter alert in the 1000 block of West 18th Street.
According to police, there was another Shotspotter alert in that same area on November 13. Officials said detectives were able to obtain an arrest warrant for both of those incidents for 46-year-old Andrew Fuentes for first-degree assault and illegal discharge of a firearm, both also tied to possession of a weapon by previous offender.
