A judge Monday ordered house arrest for a teenage boy accused in an east Vancouver hit-and-run that left a father in a medically induced coma and injured his three children.

Cristian Andres Reyes Freitez, 17, of Vancouver appeared in Clark County Juvenile Court on allegations of felony hit-and-run and four counts of vehicular assault stemming from the Friday incident.

His arraignment is scheduled for Dec. 8, court records show.

According to court documents, Freitez was driving his grandmother’s 2008 Nissan Versa shortly after 3 p.m. He turned left onto Southeast 136th Avenue from Seventh Street as 30-year-old Kyle Eck and his three children — ages 10, 7 and 6 — walked across 136th in a crosswalk. The vehicle struck all four pedestrians.

Court documents say Eck suffered a brain bleed.
