CLE ELUM, Wash. – The Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) will cover the costs for the Bullfrog Overpass repair near Cle Elum through their Emergency Relief Program . Previously, it was reported that the city would handle the expenses.
The overpass was damaged more than a month ago when a truck collided with it. This incident led to significant damage and detours in the area. The repair work, estimated at just over $2 million, will be carried out by Garco Construction Inc .
The Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) is set to meet with the contractors to finalize the work schedule. WSDOT assured there will be no travel impacts over Thanksgiving.
