Berks Beast-Viola’s (4-3-0) offensive explosion led to a 10–2 rout of Cedar Crest (3-2-1) on Monday night.
Berks opened with a dominant first period, getting goals from Michael Stine, Larry Miller III and James Mirigliano — who struck twice in the opening frame.
Cedar Crest’s Connor Strauser briefly cut into the deficit, but Berks responded with an immediate power-play goal to push the lead back to three.
The second period brought more of the same. Mirigliano netted two more and the Beast tacked on short-handed goals from Patrick Plasha and Lucas Goldyn to stretch the advantage to 8–1. Mirigliano added goals five and six in the third to finish off the blowout.
Cedar Crest’s Jacob Trieskey scored in the third to soften the blow.
Berks goalie Steven Quattrock earned the win and stopped
