HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. ( WWSB ) - Hillsborough County issued an emergency burn ban on Nov. 24 for all outdoor open burning in every area of the county.
County officials said warm temperatures and dry conditions have increased the risk of wildfires.

The ban allows only a few exceptions: barbecue grills that are constantly attended for outdoor cooking, certain agricultural operations in eastern and southern Hillsborough County that are permitted to dispose of agricultural plastic through controlled burns, and any burning specifically authorized by the Florida Forest Service.
The order is in effect for seven days but may be extended if current conditions persist.
