ROCHESTER, Minn. — The Rochester City Council reviewed an update to the 20-year development plan presented by Destination Medical Center (DMC) during a study session. The goal of this presentation was to refine the draft of DMC's 2025 update.
The initial plan, approved by the Rochester City Council and the DMC Corporation Board in 2020, is mandated by state statute to be updated every five years. The original plan emerged from a survey indicating Rochester's experience gap, failing to meet patient, visitor, and resident expectations, and lacking investor interest. To address this, growth goals were established by the city and DMC board.
