LANDIS — South Rowan had a lead in Friday’s home game with Union Academy Charter, but the Cardinals rallied in the fourth quarter for a 56-48 victory.

UAC’s guard play made the difference down the stretch. The Cardinals are 2-1. The Raiders are 1-2.

“We played really well in the third quarter, took the lead and were up seven or eight with seven minutes left,” South head coach Justin Pauley said. “There were some positives in how well we played most of the night, but it was disappointing for our guys that they lost. They’re not looking to play people close; they want to win. Union Academy is a good team. This would have been a really strong win for us.”

Anderson Pauley led South with 15 points. Dacorian Pharr scored 10.
