CLEVELAND, Ohio — Thieves broke into cars outside several Cleveland churches during Sunday services, including Olivet International Baptist Church.

Parishioners at Olivet discovered their vehicles had been broken into when they left church. Pastor Dr. Jawanza Karriem Colvin said multiple churches were affected by the incident.

“This was a disturbing event, and, as we have come to learn, other churches today also experienced similar vehicle break-ins and damage,” Colvin said in a Facebook post.

He thanked first responders, clergy members and church members for their quick response.
