The Charlotte Hornets selected LaMelo Ball with the No. 3 overall pick in the 2020 NBA Draft, and since then, both Ball and the franchise have maintained a loyal relationship. Recently, however, Kelly Iko of Yahoo Sports reported that Ball might be open to leaving the Hornets.

Ball then firmly denied them and shared his commitment to Charlotte. He also described the report as “fake news” originating from sources outside his inner circle.

Despite Ball’s clear statement, Iko did not back down. During an appearance on the Kevin O’Connor Show, he doubled down on his reporting, explaining the pattern he often observes in the NBA.
