Tesco pulls popular item that 'may pose a health risk'

Tesco has issued a recall for a popular item that "may pose a health risk" to certain individuals. The supermarket is offering refunds for its Tesco Celery Fruit and Nut Salad, 300g, "due to the presence of mustard in the mayonnaise element of the product".

The alert applies to products with a use by date of December 2. Additional details in store recall notices state: "Mustard [is] not mentioned on the product label, which may pose a health risk to anyone with an allergy or intolerance to mustard."

Customers who have purchased the affected product and have an allergy or intolerance to mustard are encouraged to return it to any Tesco store, where a full refund will be provided. No receipt is required.
