India’s Platoon One Films has boarded Pramati Anand’s debut feature “A Late Autumn Dream” as lead production company.
The project was among six titles selected for the Women in Film India delegation to the Toronto Film Festival earlier this year and was a official selection at the NFDC Screenwriters’ Lab at the WAVES Film Bazaar in Goa, as well as Rewrite 1.2 by Studio Ainak.
Written and directed by Anand, “A Late Autumn Dream” blends socio-political drama with lyrical mystery, exploring themes of identity, displacement and human connection. Set against the mist-covered hills of Meghalaya, the story follows Jonaki Das, a Bengali anthropology student, and Banteim, an Indigenous Khasi girl, who become lost in a mysterious forest rumored to be haunted by a mythical serpentine creature.
