Booneville police say a local man has been charged after an investigation into an alleged online home repair scam involving nearly $95,000.
According to the Booneville Police Department, patrol officers received a report on October 16, 2025, about a potential scam in which funds totaling approximately $95,000 had been transferred over the internet to a suspect in Booneville for home repair work.
The case was turned over to detectives with the Criminal Investigation Division for follow-up. Investigators say they identified 28-year-old Zachary Blake Davis of Booneville as the suspect.
Davis was arrested on October 30, 2025, and charged with one felony count of false pretenses. His bond was set at $40,000.
Police say the case will be presented to the Prentiss County grand jury.
