Rachel Reeves is expected to make major changes to cash ISA rules at the Budget on Wednesday.
Experts have warned it's a blow for savers, amid speculation the existing £20,000 tax-free ISA allowance will be slashed to £10,000.
The change would limit the amount savers can put into their ISAs before being taxed.

The Treasury hopes this will encourage more people to invest in stocks and shares instead, providing a boost to the economy.
There has been a surge in the number of ISAs being opened in recent months, with nervy savers looking to take advantage of current rates before potential changes come into effect.
