CLAYMONT, Del. (WPVI) -- A woman is in serious condition after being rescued from a house fire in New Castle County, Delaware.

Flames broke out just before 9:30 p.m. Monday on the 2100 block of Inwood Road in Claymont.

Authorities say firefighters found an approximately 70-year-old woman inside the burning home.

Paramedics treated her for potential airway burns.

She was then taken to Wilmington Hospital in serious condition.
