PALM DESERT, Calif. — Iowa basketball and Ole Miss enter their Nov. 25 meeting with similar resumes.

Each team is 5-0 overall — with one win coming against a higher-profile program. Iowa beat Xavier, while Ole Miss holds a victory over Memphis. The Hawkeyes and Rebels are in the same neighborhood in KenPom's rankings (Iowa 29, Ole Miss 35 as of 6 p.m. Monday).

Xavier was Iowa's first power-conference opponent of the Ben McCollum era. But the matchup with Ole Miss is an even bigger step up and will set in motion what is expected to be a difficult five-game stretch.

The Hawkeyes will play two games in two days as part of the Acrisure Classic in California, starting with Ole Miss. Then Iowa will face either Utah or Grand Canyon on Nov. 26.
