SCOTTISH Labour minister Michael Shanks has been forced to delete an embarrassing blunder about Scotland’s national day.
The Labour MP, who has made no small show of Scotland being at the “heart of the UK Government ”, apparently has no idea when St Andrew’s Day is.
In a post that could only be described as humiliating, Shanks shared a picture of No 10 to social media on Monday. He wrote: “Downing Street in blue and the saltire flying to celebrate St Andrew’s Day tomorrow.
“Great to see Scottish businesses, music, culture, members of our military and the PM celebrating Scotland’s role in the world – and tandoori salmon!”

It will (hopefully) come as no surprise to readers that St Andrew’s Day was not, in fact, “
