Simon Cowell has opened up about Liam Payne's death , revealing how hard it hit him. The music mogul was key to launching Liam's career, as he formed One Direction on the X Factor in 2010.

Liam died in October 2024 after falling from a hotel balcony in Argentina. The singer was beloved worldwide for being part of the boy band One Direction. The group, which also included Harry Styles , Louis Tomlinson, Niall Horan and Zayn Malik, was put together by Simon after each boy auditioned solo on music talent show X Factor fifteen years ago.
