DE PERE, Wis. (WBAY) - Local teenagers are doing what they can to help people in need for the Thanksgiving holiday.
Students at De Pere High School are doing it by using their culinary skills to contribute to dinners for more than 20 local families.
The families were able to decide their own menu and what they would like to eat on Thanksgiving, and the students went to work.
They spent several days preparing meals with side dishes and desserts, and freezing what they could so it’s ready for Thanksgiving.
“This has been great. Thanksgiving is one of my favorite times of the year, and to know that I’m able to help other families have this Thanksgiving it makes me feel really good," student Luca Jackson said.
