Gilligan’s Island star Bob Denver's widow is sharing how very different her late husband was from his iconic character.

The show — which ran for three seasons from 1964 to 1967 — revolved around a two-person crew and five passengers that left Honolulu aboard the S. S. Minnow for what should have been a three-hour tour. After the weather became rough, the group was diverted to a deserted island.
