It's Black Friday week, with savings to be had across the high street and online - and holidaymakers can even save on getaways for next year. Cruise operator Fred Olsen is offering up to £200 off selected journeys, including a 'captivating' Northern Lights trip from the Port of Tyne.

The In Search of the Northern Lights cruise will set sail on March 13, 2026 for a 10-night trip around Norway aboard the Balmoral ship. Passengers will be given the "best possible opportunity" to see the spectacular Aurora Borealis in action, journeying at the perfect time for peak activity to coincide with the spring equinox on March 20.
