Marks & Spencer has revealed 32 Scottish locations among 500 potential sites it is considering for new or expanded M&S Food store, including in Cumbernauld , Livingston and Inverness.
The retail giant is seeking larger sites capable of stocking the full range of M&S Food, with a target average store size of 18,000 square feet, as part of its plan to double the size of its food business and modernise its store estate.
Alex Freudmann, managing director of M&S Food , stated: "The strong performance of our new M&S food stores gives us the confidence to explore even more locations across the UK, from Elgin to Exmouth. With more than twenty stores opening or modernised before the end of the financial year, we are moving faster.
