DEXTER TWP., MI - One person was killed early Tuesday when their car crashed and caught on fire near Dexter.
The area of North Territorial Road and Madden Road in Dexter Township was closed around 5:15 a.m., Nov. 25, as crews responded to a report of a car on fire on the side of the road, said Doug Armstrong, chief of the Dexter Area Fire Department.
Crews arrived to find what appeared to be a single-car crash, Armstrong said. The vehicle had run off the road and into multiple trees.
The driver was killed, confirmed Sgt. Eugene Rush with the Washtenaw County Sheriff’s Office.
The person’s age or gender was not immediately available.
