US retail sales rose modestly in September, as the value of retail purchases, not adjusted for inflation, increased 0.2% after a 0.6% gain in August. Meanwhile, US wholesale inflation picked up in September as the producer price index rose 0.3% from a month earlier after a 0.1% decline in August. Michael McKee reports on Bloomberg Television.
