LIBERTY, N.C. — Fire crews are still working on putting out a fire at a local dairy farm.

Crews with the Snow Camp Volunteer Fire Department responded to Fogleman Dairy Farm on Monday, Nov. 24 in the late afternoon, according to Fire Chief Gerry Boone.

The fire broke out in a hay storage farm housing hundreds of bales of hay and silage feed for the cattle. By the time firefighters arrived, about 80% of the contents were burning, the fire chief said.

Alamance, Randolph, Chatham, Guilford County Fire Departments were called in to respond.

Crews are still on the scene on Tuesday morning working to extinguish smoldering hay and salvaging any remaining feed.
