Kansas came into the Players Era knowing Darryn Peterson wouldn’t play in any of the three games, due to a hamstring injury, so the guard’s absence from the Notre Dame matchup didn’t come as a surprise. When he doesn’t play against Syracuse, that shouldn’t be a surprise either. Forward Bryson Tiller noted the Jayhawks have to continue to learn who they are without him, and be the tougher team each game, although he does think Peterson will be back soon.
