Greater Manchester Police's chief constable has defended officers who accidentally shot an 'innocent person' during the attack on Heaton Park synagogue last month. Two people died in the terrorist attack last month as well as the attacker who was shot dead.
However, it soon emerged that two innocent worshippers - Adrian Daulby and Yoni Finlay - were hit by police bullets as officers tried to stop Jihad Al-Shamie, who appeared to be carrying an explosive device. The suspicious device was later found to be 'not viable'
Mr Finlay, 35, was released from hospital almost two weeks after the attack but Mr Daulby, 53, sadly died from his injuries. Melvin Cravitz, 66, was also killed in the attack while fellow worshipper Andrew Franks and security guard Bernard Agyemang were injured
