HARPERS FERRY - Dressed in blue caps and gowns, a new class of Harpers Ferry Job Corps Civilian Conservation Center graduates took their first steps toward the future this week, celebrating perseverance, service and the diverse paths that brought them to the program.

This year’s graduating group was one of the largest in the past few years, with 30 students earning certificates across multiple trades and academic areas. Job Corps students may take up to two years to complete their programs, though many finish in under a year. Center leaders said the size of this class reflects not only growing enrollment but also increased awareness of the center’s impact.
